Sam DeLeon Health Mind Body Spirit

The more I dig into the “why” of things, the more understanding I have. The more understanding I have, the more I discern what is best for me mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. The result is me wanting to do it, rather than feeling the need to have to do it.

My health mindset is no longer from a “I want to look and feel better”, it’s more “the choices I make affect me, I have the power to choose wisely.” The fruit is to look and feel better, but it’s no longer my means to this end.

I am calling this “The Why Life”.

What is your why?

What you choose to consume will eventually consume you.

Here’s what I am learning about creating a sustainable healthy life (mind, body and spirit).  This concept can be considered for just about anything…

I saw symptoms of unhealthy choices within myself and my family. I noticed some unhealthy thought patterns that I wanted to break. This required me to take a deep look into my whys. I dug into my motivations for my thinking and my actions. I kept digging until I found the root causes.

I am researching and educating myself to change my

ways. I will pass on this knowledge to my family and hopefully influence them by the way I live.  I am learning that we all have the power to break the chains that keep us in belief systems that break us down instead of build us up. We can’t change others by telling them what to do, but we can certainly influence them by the way we live.

Imagine if we all looked within our own motivations and root whys and changed them for the better.

To have external change, you must do the internal work.

REAL Conversations with God

At a point in my life when I was drowning in overcommitment and obligation, I started questioning my faith.  I knew I believed in God, but did I actually believe God?  I realized that most of my life I was believing a second-hand faith, where I listened to others about what they learned and didn't read to learn it for myself.  At this cross point, I started questioning the validity of my faith.  But I didn't end it or give up, instead I started digging into the Scripture to actually learn it for myself!  I call these R.E.A.L. Conversations with God - READ. EDUCATE. APPLY. LIVE.

I asked myself very simple questions that really helped me understand the who, what, where and why of the passage I was reading.  This process helped me to let the Spirit guide me rather than relying only on other people's interpretation.  It truly deepened my understanding of God at a more personal level.  I would love to share my guide with you!
